At 73 my hair has become fine and frizzy, but mainly on the one side, which is startling 😂. What shampoo/ conditioner would you recommend? I've tried Argan oil, but it makes my hair flat and greasy.

My hair has been a mess for goodness knows how long. Fine, flyaway and greasy. Tried so many different shampoos, now use ginger shampoo from body shop, absolute game changer. Hope this helps, it can be so frustrating.

Pantene Bond Repair shampoo and conditioner are very good and smell lovely, don't be put off by the price at Boots, it's much cheaper from supermarkets.

Aveeno Apple Cider Vinegar shampoo for hard water got me an unsolicited compliment from a new hairdresser “Your hair is in very good condition”. Bit pricey but Superdrug often has deals. I use the conditioner too.

Thank you so much- I'll try those and hopefully it can only get better. I've even considered my dog's shampoo (briefly) in desperation!

I tried Pantene as a change from my usual Aussie Miracle shampoo but will be going back to Aussie Miracle. The moisturing one with macadamia nut oil might work well on your hair.

Oddly enough, I couldn't buy Aussie Miracle products in Australia.

I have very fine hair and use the Aussie Shampoo for fine hair and on my hairdressers recommendation stopped using conditioner. I use a spray on thickener Lemon Sage before drying.

At your age, hydration is key! Try a lightweight, sulfate-free shampoo like Pureology Hydrate and a volumizing conditioner like Living Proof Full. Avoid heavy oils—opt for a leave-in spray instead. 😊

A few years ago I was complimented by a fellow train passenger (female) on the appearance of my hair. I use Dove Pro-age. My fine hair seems to like it.

I love Body Shop Banana shampoo and conditioner not as cheap as some but the bottles last for months

I like this:

Avalon Organics Lavender shampoo...
But not the conditioner.

Try Jamaican black caster oil shampoo and conditioner. They make my hair feel silky and thicker always looks like a thick head of hair afterwards.
