what is your favourite hairstyle at the moment

Mine is in a sort of bob but when it’s really hot like last week I feel like shaving it all off!

I know what suits my face and colouring so tend not to mess about with styling. If I had ringlets I would look ridiculous and the first bit of damp air would make the whole lot drop out.

I think a bob, of varying lengths according to face shape is thought to be the best for most people.It can be straightened or left wavy or curly.

oreo I have a round fat face just like Miss Piggy & similar to Dame Judy . Therefore I have & have had, a very similar hairstyle to Judy for many years
It gets tweeked every so often but it's basically a short, no attention required , pixie cut. I'd love to have smooth, sleek, thick straight silver hair cut in an elegant bob like my friend but alas, mine has a tendency to be springy.
I must admit I haven't noticed the latest modern cut being discussed, I must think it's OK or I'd have noticed!

On a thin, or long face it wouldn’t look right, nor with strong features, it doesn’t suit many.

Apart from the odd sorte into a pixie cut I’ve had variations of a bob for the best part of 69 years (in my defence my hair won’t grow past my shoulders)

Well I have always had long hair, I can't have a fringe because it goes like a bunch of grapes. My hair is wavy in places, straight in others so I run some straighteners over it. But I think the style that is the length of a bob that they sort of bend halfway down to make it stick out is ridiculous. I think Caroline Flack was the first person I ever saw with it but it just looks as though a child has been let loose on it.

I have a chin length bob, but it takes an awful lot of blow drying to get it to curl under.

I hate really short hair on older ladies.

PS have just made an appt for Thursday for a trim.

My hair has always been curly, latterly inclined to go very frizzy too so I grew it long enough to pin up, thinking that would be the answer, but whispy bits kept coming out and looking like a sort of halo. I changed from the owner (who has done my hair for years) to the other hairdresser in the salon and it's shorter now but needs to be shorter still. She styles it beautifully but I can't manage the same effect. It looks like a bird's nest when it's windy or I've been gardening. Virginia Wade was on TV the other day and she looked so elegant with stylish short hair. When I look through magazines for ideas everyone has long hair. Wish I could find an answer!

For me it’s longer hair - much easier- less costly too- can just tie it back when I feel like it- best of both worlds.

I don't make judgements on other people's hair styles, only their slug eyebrows and terribly swollen lips which I think look awful. I've pretty much had the same hairstyle for the last 50 years and it is the one I feel most comfortable with. Shoulder length or longer, centre parting and fringe.

Most people look better with a fringe of sorts.

Judi Dench reminds me of Miss Piggy and the only reason her hair suits her so short is for having a round face with very soft features.She must have realised her hair looks best like that as she has had that style for very many years.

You need to have the facial structure for it to look good though.

I would look horrendous with a pixie cut. I currently have a shoulder length layered bob.

I find a fringe very flattering, it covers a multitude of sins. And it's much cheaper than a facelift. Shorter hair is my flattering on older ladies. Judi Dench looks fabulous. Helen Mirren always looks better with short hair.

I used to have very long hair in my youth which I could do all sorts of things with it but these days I have a chin length bob which I'm very pleased with it thanks to my hairdresser - and she's not expensive!

What about young men. They all have very short hair at the back with longer sticky-up hair at the front. They all look exactly the same.

Remember all the young men with identical long hair in the 1960s, or the slaphead look that older men favour now. identical hairdos, may be, but indivdual faces and personalities.

The best hair style is always the one that suits you best and you feel comfortable with. it may be long, short, curly, straight, with or without a fringe. It is as individual as the individual sporting it.
