Foot oil to use overnight

The skin on my feet has become very dry and I have hard skin on my heels.

I would like to use an absorbent moisturising/hydrating foot oil or cream overnight to help with this and, to avoid grease getting on to sheets, I want to wear thin socks

Can anyone recommend a foot oil or cream and socks to wear overnight in bed? I am not diabetic so don't need products suitable for diabetics.

You really need to scrub the hard skin before applying cream. Hard skin is dead…no cream going to bring that back, take off outer dead skin then cream and sock
Flexitol heel balm was my go to when I worked as a Chiropodist

I should.think E45 would do well on feet, too. Apply liberally and protect bed linen with thick cotton socks.

Although it is not oil, O'Keefe's overnight foot moisturiser is good, so is their hand cream.

I second this😃

I have zero base on prescription for eczema but I actually prefer Nivea soft because it socks in more.
I put it on thickly 3 times a day with socks on top and it prevents cracked dry feet.

No of course not. My feet get dry wearing sandals and I’m running out of my usual creams. This is well worth a go.

I hope it works woodenspoon
I don't want to be responsible for lots of complaints! grin

I an not an employee by the way!

Thank you. I’ve ordered two tubes for £13.99 off eBay. Brand new of course.

(That was in reply to woodenspoon)
It was recommended to my mother-in-law by her podiatrist.

I used the CCS Cracked Heel Repair but would definitely look at others in the range for "maintenance".
I used it initially for about 3 or 4 days and subsequently just now and then.

My daughter bought me some Champney's Heel Balm last year. It works a treat on heels, but I use it all over my feet to keep them soft and pink. Just a tiny pea-sized amount is enough for each foot. I'm scraping out the last of it from the tube now, but she's promised me some more for Christmas!

L’Occitane foot cream is excellent.

I use O’Keeffe’s Healthy Feet Overnight cream...I think there's another version too.

It's not too expensive and I find it works really well.

woodenspoon Thu 31-Jul-25 10:16:20

The CCS does look good. Which would you recommend?

NotSpaghetti Thu 31-Jul-25 10:14:33

I hope the CCS does the job.
It worked quickly for me.
🤞

Burts Bees honey foot cream or LOccitane foot cream work very well for me. I wear thin trainer socks from M&S in bed or soft cotton slippers during the day after I’ve rubbed in well.

Has anyone tried these foot packs that you can get? Are they any good?

I've recently used a good, really hydrating one from Poundland, Honey and Almond. Avoid the harsh ones that peel your skin!

Try Soap and Glory, The Righteous Butter.. £9.99 from Boots.. it is simply wonderful.. does the job in one night.. use old socks but it will not stain bedding.

A beautician who I used to go to for my feet said she used "old tennis socks". I've never played tennis, but old cotton socks would do just as well.

I've using Vaseline Advanced Repair moisturiser daily since I had my toes amputated some years ago. As Blueberry Pie suggests you need to use a pumice stone regularly to remove dead skin from the scars and rub the moisturiser well in, twice a day. Cheers.

BlueberryPie Thu 31-Jul-25 02:52:59

I think you need a pumice stone or something like that to remove the hardened/calloused skin.

Then any oil, moisturizer, lotion or whatever that's emollient should work.

This brand works very well - I've used the foot and heel one - but it isn't an oil:

I’ve just ordered this from Amazon on your recommendation….🤗
