The headgear, I mean.
Today at The Vatican.

Is this fascination with other people’s morals because we have nothing better to do in our own lives?
With regard to the OP, no I didn’t particularly like it. Had it been autumn leaves it would have looked better, but if it had to be black . . .

Buckie, it's not the dark ages, she didn't break her wedding vows, he did. How do you know how many lovers she had, her business, he was cheating from the start.
Oh and still don't like the hat which was this post was about.until it was disrailed.

escaped FWIW, I didn't like Camilla's hat thing. I don't like her, although I don't particularly like any of the royals.

FWIW (and it's MY thread!!!), I reported no comment by anyone.

Camilla chose not to convert when she married Andrew Parker Bowles who is a Roman Catholic. Their children were brought up in the Catholic faith.
Probably a good thing or there would have been another hurdle for Charles and Camilla to overcome.

Allira Tue 28-Oct-25 15:35:59

Gabrisha

i thought she looks ok and maybe a bit dramatic. I think she wore that maybe to pay respect to her private religious beliefs.

Camilla is not Roman Catholic.

I think the headdress was a little over the top but it was obviously an agreed choice - so be it.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 28-Oct-25 10:30:08

Oh my goodness sazzl what a dreadful comment

Omg, you'll have gransnet reported for that comment in the national press - if last year's thread about verdant bottoms*, (* code ) was anything to go by!
Just saying!

Yes, I wouldn't be at all surprised.

Mind you, to write that kind of post says rather a lot about sazz1's mind 💩

westendgirl Tue 28-Oct-25 09:55:28

It's dreadful to see some of the comments on here. Are you trying to outdo each other in bitchiness ?
I do not know how you know what went on in someone's marriage. Perhaps you were besties, or rather for your info you relied too much on the gutter press.
I find your comment Sazzl, nasty in the extreme.

Mollygo Tue 28-Oct-25 09:28:41

Sazz1
in keeping with GN guidelines?

How very vulgar.

ronib Tue 28-Oct-25 09:00:29

I had to look up the expression ….

foxie48 Tue 28-Oct-25 08:58:35

No "perhaps" about it Ronib

ronib Tue 28-Oct-25 08:26:48

Perhaps Sazzl didn’t use the most polite wording and maybe there are more appropriate words to use …. Best not suggest any ….

foxie48 Tue 28-Oct-25 07:36:31

Horrible commentSazzl

Back to the proper subject, going by some sartorial comments on here, perhaps the headgear is on display in the RSPCA charity shop in Tetbury? 🎃 🎃

Isn’t it a similar style to the hat she wore when they married. I thought that one was splendid. Unfortunately in black it looks like part of a Halloween costume.

Mollygo Sat 25-Oct-25 20:21:56

merlotgran

Camilla adores her dogs and they adore her.
That’ll do for me.

Lovely picture too.

Allira Sat 25-Oct-25 19:25:37

Good point merlotgran
