I have a jacket from John Partridge. I particularly like that they are Made In England.

I bought my first Barbour in 1990, I replaced it with another about 3 years ago.

My husband also has Barbours as he is a shooter, he sends his back to Barbour to be reconditioned every few years.

The proper Barbours are worth the money, Barbour International are fashion items.

I haven’t tried Rydale but I read that their dog fleeces were poor quality compared to Equafleece and Ruffwear.

I have a brown waxed Barbour Lambley but around horses I prefer to wear a washable and breathable jacket. I have a red Musto and a beige Barbour Fulbourn, both regularly washed with Nikwax Tech Wash and re proofed with TX Direct.

My farrier also farms and he swears by heavy wax jackets from a NZ supplier, he does re-wax them the old fashioned way though.
