Who loves a bride?

I wish them both every happiness. It must be hard to start all over again…..

I think she is a lovely happy looking young woman in a beautiful white dress. And why not? White was supposed to denote virginity, how many brides are virgins nowadays? I wish them every happiness.

When i was a teenager our school was opposite a hotel. Every time there was a wedding we'd stand at the gate waiting to see the bride. I'm sure they didn't expect such an audience 🙄

I think the dress is horrible! I was shocked when I first saw her in it, she's so attractive but the dress is awful

The first few newspaper social media posts I saw I think referred to her as 'Mrs Harriet Sperling' which mimicked the official notices of engagement and wedding posted by Peter Phillips
I Advanced Googled it just now. Assorted Instagram posts including The Wales's, Hello magazine and various royal watchers and fashion accounts

It doesn’t seem to bother Mike Tindall though Gandalf, he takes it in his stride, I bet he makes her laugh!

I admire Princess Anne and how she works so hard without complaint, but the thought of having her as a mother in law is just a bit terrifying!

A precedent was set when Prince Harry married. The bride's 2nd marriage, but a white dress.

I know lots of us here were raised during the time when conventional bridal wear, particularly a white wedding dress, was frowned upon for 2nd marriages, but these days, anything goes.

Now, the bride rocks up to a Registry Office in a full blown wedding gown plus all the trimmings. It used to be a suit or a dress and jacket if it wasn't a wedding in a place of worship.

How times change eh?

I think Camilla looked perfect. It was just right for,the wedding and Epsom as well. Clever woman.
Princess Anne looked a bit wacky, but I expect when she ditched the umbrella, gloves, handbag and changed her dark shoes for something a bit lighter and strappy for dancing, she was perfect too.
The bride a bit OTT for a 2nd wedding with her daughter as bridesmaid. But who cares. Maybe at the reception she took off the veil, and the lacy top and literally let down her hair which is long and pretty. I bet as a family away from the cameras they know how to have fun.
Shame about the rain. Those bridesmaids I expect ditched their sodden shoes. DMs all round.

Many divorced women have spent money disassociating themselves from their ex. They stick with his surname because they share it with their children. The 'Mrs' in front of a bride's name seems to draw attention to a past marriage, when the attention should be focused on this new marriage.

Chardy, what is it about the name of Mrs Sperling that you think " grates" with "most divorced women"?

I think Camilla rocks a hat, always looks good in them.

The Queen always choses that hat style.

The pale creamy pinks shown upthread are beautiful.

Camilla had two outfits on her special day.
I preferred the long version, although the headdress was slightly off.

I agree with another poster upthread, not taking away from this bride but I think Camilla struck the right note with her wedding outfit when marrying Charles.
