Fake tan for legs

I bought Sally Hansen "airbrush legs", described as leg makeup that would cover all kinds of imperfections. It was expensive, similar price to Aura, but it was so dark I had to rub most of it off as quickly as possible and hard to get it on evenly.
Maybe Aura is better!

Of dear, reminds me of the gravy browsing used during the war when stockings were very hard to buy.

Yes, I use the light one most of the time and the medium one when I have a bit of a tan (not often). I have some broken veins right on the front of my shin which always looks like a bruise. Normally I don't worry bout it, but now and again when I am going somewhere special I use Sally Hansen to cover it.

Just love Dove derma spa mousse in medium/dark & I’m naturally fair. Looks authentic, goes on really well and don’t think it highlights blemishes at all

Dive fake tan is good gor me. Moisturise first. Doesn't streak.

I’ve used Sally Hansen airbrush legs - found it ok. Doesn’t it come in different shades? Make sure legs are well moisturised and use a make up sponge, perhaps, to even out the colour?

My legs are like a large scale, ordnance survey map with all the minor roads highlighted. I'd love a fake tan that disguises them.

I've always had corned beef legs. It was awful and embarrassing when I was younger. I usually wore tights to disguise the purple pooling around my feet, thus avoiding drawing the attention of my schoolmates who all seemed to have creamy, flawless skin. Now at last I've grown into my legs and can bare them without fear of what other pensioners might think!!!

My mother said she used to use potassium permanganate and an eyebrow pencil.

I'm using a Nivea product with a tanning mitt. Seems to do the trick for me as I just want a bit of colour on my winter white pins.

It was an absolute joy to read this thread on Gransnet today. Especially the old references made by posters on the description of their corn beef legs and gravy browning tans

Dove do a nice fake tan for the body, but for legs I really like Santa Monica tanning wipes from Home Bargains, not only cheap but goes on well and dries immediately, no greasiness at all and gives a very natural colour, more so than any more expensive fake tan that I have ever tried.

I'd always had pale but nice enough legs but at 77 now very veiny and the skin is paper thin. I'm looking into fake tan too. Oh vanity!

I use Garnier moisturiser with gradual tan . I put it on after my shower and it gradually and quite naturally adds a tan , which you can darken or lighten as you wish , by using more or less often . I’ve had a few compliments about my brown legs !!!!!!!

I tried this one Sally Hansen amzn.eu/d/0aOPhaIH and was pleasantly surprised, even the light was a bit dark for me but mixed with a little moisturiser was easy to use and looks pretty good.

I used to use that Sally Hanson tan make-up, but mix it with a nice body butter to even it out.
Then it’s the palaver of having to wash it all off before bed as it would spoil my white sheets
I’ve given up with fake tan.
People can think what they like of my pasty legs 😂

Lilypops don’t bother with Aura - have used for 3 nights now - no obvious difference to the colour of my legs☹️. Ok as a moisturiser so will have to use my three (!!!) tubes (what was I thinking?😖) for that & purchase one of the recommendations above for actual tanned legs.

Potassium Permangate is highly poisonous if ingested😲

I like Sally Hansen .

I think Aura is a temporary leg makeup, not a fake tan.

You just to wash it off.

No it doesn’t, which is another plus.
