Hair Straighener Brushes - are they any good?

I had one once that had a rotating brush but it was big and heavy and I got in a huge tangle with it. I see now you can buy much smaller, cordless ones that look just like a hairbrush. I'm tempted to buy but are they any good? My hair is quite thick and wavy and almost shoulder length.

Probably better with hair straighteners wide irons.

I'm watching this with interest.

I have a straight bob and fine one of the small brushes very handy for tidying up my hair or giving it a boost especially if it is windswept or damp. It won’t straighten hair

I’ve long hair and bought a Lidl own brand hair straightener brush (also got GHD straightening iron) and it works perfectly well on my very wavy hair. Cost less than £12 a good few years ago and worth every penny.

This is not an electrical one, but some time ago I bought a detangling hairbrush (similar to the Tangle Teezer available on Amazon) and I find that it straightens and flattens my hair, but gently. I should mention that my hair doesn’t actually tangle at all these days, although it does tend to want to wave or turn up at the back.

I bought one that had a best buy on some consumer website - it wasn't cheap and I thought it would be handy for travelling - its slow to heat up and doesn’t really straighten. Plus it runs put of charge really quickly. Im back to packing my GHDs.

Im back to packing my ghds .

I had one and found it quite useless. Even heating to it's highest setting for more than the recommeded 2 minutes at 250 it wouldn't straighten my thin wavy, shoulder length hair. I've gone back to normal straighteners that take 15 seconds to heat up to 150 and it takes me a couple of minutes. So no I found them quite useless.
