Many forums (fora?) I've been on, when you want to add to a thread, allow you to click on a "Quote this reply" button or icon. That then starts your new contribution with a full quote (identified as such in bold and starting with "Originally posted by NAME").

You can then of course shorten the quoted text if you want, or leave it whole, and then start adding your own reply. It makes the page a bit longer but it's much esier to use as you don't have to keep cut 'n pasting quotes or names or looking back to see what's being referred to.

Scroll down here, you'll soon see what I mean:;f=4;t=005434

Please can we have the same? It's much much better and stimulates much bette debate ie quicker and more fluent.

Your thoughts, once you have time enough to replay, please!

Hullo isthisallthereis,

Thanks for sharing that link with us. We can see what you mean, it would save on endless cutting and pasting!

We'll pass it onto our much loved Tech team, and see what they think.
