Since I've had this back problem I've been forced to spend a lot of time lying on the sofa. As as result I have been using my laptop with the inbuilt mouse rather than the separate optical mouse I use at my desk. I keep doing something which turns the sound up to full and puts a loudspeaker and bar at the bottom of my screen. That is OK but it freezes my mouse and the only way I can find to get rid of it is to switch off.
If anyone can tell me what I am doing to cause this I will be most grateful and if they can also tell me how to get out of it without switching off that would be really helpful. I am usually pretty good with technology but this one seems to have caught me out.

Although I cannot help with your problem moved I can commiserate with you as the inbuilt mouse on my laptop has a mind of it's own.

That's waht I do Ariadne but it is annoying when it must be something really simple that I am doing.
