Photograph Printing

Having trouble printing photographs they smudge. We have changed printer/cartridges/paper and still the photos smudge. Anyone got ideas as to where I am going wrong please because it has to be something I am doing having covered the other possibilities.

The most likely possibility here is that the printer is not aware of the sort of paper you are using - you need to select the right paper on the drop-down box.

Have you tried cleaning the printer heads?

My Canon printer made a mess of printing on HP paper so I had to buy the Canon paper instead.

Mines a Canon Printer too so if Mishap's idea doesn't work I will try that, thanks.
