DS1 had something along those lines when he first came home from hospital and started doing an MA but found it difficult to remember the command to 'stop' when he had finished.

His speech wasn't so good either and it took a good while before the programme understood him. All this is 5 years ago so things will probably be much better by now and, thankfully he can type at quite a rate of knots now and his speech is fine too.

annie I have a new colleague at the desk next to mine - who talks to his computer (he doesn't type). I'm still getting used to it, I forget now why he told me he needs the software - dyslexia maybe? I should have paid more attention of course but in an open plan office where we are all jammed in, I was thinking 'Yegads, how is this going to work?!' Will ask him what he uses and what it's like.
