Good afternoon all, hope someone can help.

I was sent an email with some wonderful pictures in it that I would like to share.

Please can anyone tell me how I could put it on here?

Many thanks!

Oh heavens. I know it has off days but that is ridiculous. Maybe its server is down today.

I've just tried to join and it completely cocked up my pc and told me my user name was wrong! It's taken ages for my pc to clear.

janerowena Wed 19-Mar-14 13:53:52

Maybe if you start up your computer again? A bit of a faff I know, but that sometimes resets things.

If all else fails, you could email me and I can do it on your behalf. But I think if you can, try to do it yourself because it is a very useful thing. I send photos to elderly villager friends' relatives all over the world on their behalf, which means that I cannot delete photos in my bucket! They all know how to email, but not how to save photos.

I'm getting really peed off now! Got an email from PB, did all stuff ad it STILL says my username/password is wrong!

janerowena Wed 19-Mar-14 13:43:09

Oh dear. sad I will ask a friend to join up and see if they have the same problem.

Only, photobucket is pretty much the best one that is free. There is also Flick'r but I have never used it. You could have a look at that? The only difference being that Flick'r limits the amount you can upload each month, and at one time I was uploading huge amounts so never tried it.

Yes, emails checked, nothing there.

janerowena Wed 19-Mar-14 13:35:27

Oh poo. Can you check your emails in case you need to register now?

Anne58 Wed 19-Mar-14 13:34:18

I don't seem able to get to the "upload" function, as I can't get past "get started" I've tried coming out and trying to log in, but then it says that there is something wrong with either my username or password. [frustrated emoticon]

At this stage, until you have learnt your way around the site, all of your photos will end up in the same folder. As my folders and library are well-established, it is hard for me to see how it can work for a newcomer. But you can organise your folders by date, subject, most recent, give them names.

janerowena Wed 19-Mar-14 13:29:49

Go to 'upload'. That will put your photos into what they now call the Library. 'Choose' all the photos. They may take a while unless they are a small 'density'.

Anne58 Wed 19-Mar-14 13:26:23

Have registered with Photobucket, but when I click on "get started" button, nothing happens?

janerowena Wed 19-Mar-14 13:25:40

Ok. Now sign up here

photobucket.com/

The photo on the front page changes every day now. In fact the whole site has changed drastically since I joined it 6 years ago so I may lead you astray unintentionally.

Anne58 Wed 19-Mar-14 13:17:56

Right, that's done. All 18 now saved. (and I even know where they are!)

janerowena Wed 19-Mar-14 13:04:57

Yes, it is.

When you click on your email photos, instead of 'open' choose 'save'. That is another way of getting them on to your computer. Get as far as that and we shall see where we go from there. grin

Anne58 Wed 19-Mar-14 09:57:35

Ah, I see confused will have a look, thanks janerowena

BTW Is it free?

janerowena Tue 18-Mar-14 23:47:07

You can upload them to Photobucket first.

Like this

It's a photo sharing site. Save the photos from your email onto your computer. (rightclick and save) Then open an account with Photobucket, and choose 'bulk upload'.

No, glass got a bit side tracked.

Sorry Nellie we don't.

Ana don't think that would work!

glassortwo Tue 18-Mar-14 19:38:28

Did you manage phoenix I haven't looked.

Ana Tue 18-Mar-14 19:04:49

Perhaps you could copy the email into a Word document, delete all the text etc. then post a link? (I have no idea whether this would work or not!)

Nelliemoser Tue 18-Mar-14 19:03:58

Phoenix Do you or Mr P have any photo editing program where you could stick them all into one big picture.

GN converts pictures to go very small though so it might be better to just send us six sets of three.

Anne58 Tue 18-Mar-14 18:48:14

18 ! shock

Lona Tue 18-Mar-14 18:32:26

On a photo thread you can post three pictures on each post.
How many are there?

Anne58 Tue 18-Mar-14 18:09:59

Anyone?

Anne58 Tue 18-Mar-14 13:20:20

Not really glass there is a whole string of them and they are some lovely and rather inspiring ideas for recycling!

On second thoughts I suppose I could (with a lot of help from Mr P) but I was rather hoping for an easy way! grin
