Old Kindle v New

Oh no! I'm picking up my new Paperwhite today.

Oh don't take notice of me, petallus.

I'm always the 'odd one out'.

My present Kindle is an old style one, three years' old. However, I do have an ipad and an ipod where you have to swipe and sometimes I find it does not always work the first time. Sometimes I have to swipe several times, in fact.

Having cold hands does not help matters. Have you got cold hands?

Are you still having trouble with your Paperwhite?

I started using mine today. I have no trouble turning pages.

To turn to the previous page one gentle tap in the left margin, lower half of the screen.

To turn to next page, the same single tap in the middle of the top half of the screen.

As for swiping, that's always a bit hit and miss.

My paperwhite is fine too (apart from the fact that it is left behind at my daughter's 100 miles away at the moment). I wonder if yours has a fault Squaredog

Contact Amazon. if you use the contact button on their website and ask for a phone call, in my experience they get back to you within minutes and you talk to a Real Person! Sounds likea fault to me, because I love my paperwhite even more than my original kindle.
