Yes , can do that but the discussion was going on on In the News, then some strange poster made lots of inappropriate comments on the AIBU thread which were deleted, and the discussion transferred to there, without the continuity of the more recent thread. Just a thought.

Bit frustrating, I agree - I started the second Rolf Harris thread after searching for the first one for half an hour. The search box on here just doesn't work properly and the different topics didn't throw it up, either. I guess it just gets perpetuated when others come along, encounter the same problem and go for the first one they see. Wish GNHQ would sort the search facility out.

I often find that the search box at the top of the page produces better results than the 'search the forum' one. Neither is brilliant!

There are also two Wimbledon threads with the same title but when I tried the search boxes, neither came up with it!
They are useless imo, I've tried lots of times to no avail.

Same thing happened there, too, Lona. There are a few techy things that need unglitching!

Have you filled in the 2014 census? There is a box in there that asks you what changes are needed for easier manoeuvring around the site.

And it didn't take me anything like as long as others said it did! So I think they must have been puzzling over their answers for a very long time.

HQ are too busy pouring money into the lucrative Mumsnet to give a darn about us. And Mumsnet is busy with its profile raising campaign to stop MP s shouting at each other.

Actually, it's quite fun to try to remember what you said on the different threads. And hope that you don't start arguing against yourself.

Sometimes it's far nicer to be able to be slightly subversive and largely ignored.

Darn! I missed a chance to nag about that non search box. I can never find anything I want. It either gives you 999 references which are nothing to do with the search terms or it says there are no references to something you saw a couple of days ago and have quoted exactly.

I mentioned the search problem, Elegran. Hope they take notice!
