Would you let this into the kitchen?

Wouldnt allow it over my door. Love doing my housework, i dont let anyone touch my washing or cook.unless i really really have to.It was bad enough when i was out of action for 2 weeks after my hysterectomy and had to let DH do a few bits

I can't wait, will it clean the bath and toilet, make the bed sort out my wardrobe. I'd be thrilled ?

Would the robot know not to put a plate directly in front of a bowl so that no water can get in to clean the bowl etc.?

My husband is not usually daft but he does this frequently.

Also he doesn't empty the dregs of tea and coffee so that they splash everywhere.

Bring on the robot.

Anybody can empty a dishwasher. I bet this robot couldn't do it while trying to stop 2 year old DGS from playing with the place you put the tablet, or pushing the bottom rack backwards and forwards, or lifting out glasses and waving them in the air with "Der granny," whilst your busy putting the cups in the cupboard.

In the not too distant future the human race as we know it will no longer exist. In our place will be artificial life forms.
A thousand years is just a about the size of a grain of sand if you were to compare it with the age of the earth. So not too long to wait. I've got one of those. DH does it while I have a shower!

I would gladly let a robot clean my oven, we take turns with the dishwasher one loads the other empties. As for the laundry I actually like hanging out the washing OH's skill at it leaves a lot to be desired. [Grin]

That is what my son is doing at University, robotics and A.I. So ASIMO could be a thing of the future in all houses. Bring it on, someone to watch soaps with and then an off button!

I would be willing to overlook any misgivings I had about a animal-looking robotic thing in my kitchen if it scrubbed the loo. That's my worst job. Or maybe dusting? Or putting away laundry? Gosh, I sound lazy!

I would like it to do more than unload the dishwasher- hanging my washing out and collecting it again would be on the list as would changing the bedding- I always wrestle with the duvet when changing the cover. Could the robot cook?

Yes please I loathe unloading the dishwasher especially in the morning when its full of last nights dinner things and DH is trying to make porridge while I'm trying to empty it - can you please wait until its all put away and then make the porridge?? Darling!!!Sweetie!!
