I've thought about getting one when my trusty old thing finally gives in and would like to know what others think. It would have to be one you can swap from mobile to desktop mode as you need both to get the best out of things like Facebook etc.
A 2 in 1 laptop is one in which the screen can be unattached from the keyboard and used as a tablet computer. I would suggest checking reviews in Which? magazine before buying one. Many of the other magzines and websites offering advice are likely to be influenced by companies which advertise with them. One thing I would suggest is that you do not use for online banking or shopping while out and about - keep that to your secure home broadband connection.
I have an HP one with a 10" screen and I love it. It's on my bedside table and I use the tablet mode to watch TV in bed and the whole thing in the morning to see what's going on before I get up. This morning I read the news, did a crossword, used it to print out 2 recipes and read my email. I also have a laptop in the lounge plus a Fire to read on and a tablet and smartphone iny very capacious handbag! Techie, Moi?
Thank you miep, I have two lap tops, hate new one because I hate windows 10 and find my old Toshiba difficult now because of failing eye sight , I use the iPad a lot. I thought of a 2 in 1 so I can type then put the keyboard back to see the screen without having to pull the keyboard up to my chin
