On an iPhone place the cursor nearest to where you want it, by tapping it. Then hold your finger on the cursor until you get a magnified image of it. Now you can slide your finger - and cursor - to wherever you want it.

I would be wary of clicking on this link.

Or on my android. mcem that's how I do it too.

It doesn't work on my iPhone or iPad.

I can move my cursor just by tapping the spot I want. Don't need to use space bar. How have you moved it until now?

This doesn’t seem to work on an iPhone but I can press on the cursor and slide it to wherever I want. My GD taught me that.

I've just seen this on Mumsnet. I haven't tried it yet but it sounds like an easier way of fixing the cursor at the desired point in a text.
