Our DVD remote is becoming useless as the buttons no longer work consistently. As we can't do everything with the buttons on the set I was wondering about getting a universal one - the only ones locally available are called One for All (I think confused ) and I wondered if anyone had any experience of such things? Are they easy enough to set up and do they do the job?

Thank you in advance smile

They are easy to set up. There is a code that has to be put in to match your appliance and a list of those is included in with the remote (or, at least, it was with the one I bought)

Thanks Tweedle24. Think we might give it a shot!

Quick update; we got a universal remote for £20 and it was, as you said, Tweedle24, easy to set up and works well. It's so nice to be able to use a pause button again!
