Sound on MacBook

I have noticed when I am on Instagram stories, I have no sound. The sound works perfectly well on any other site and I can get the sound on my phone on IG. When I go to system preferences and sound, I highlight the internal speakers and when I try it again it works sometimes but not others. Any help appreciated. Don't think it's the Instagram site as it works perfectly on my phone. Thanks

How do I turn sound on or off when watching videos?

To turn sound on or off while watching a video, tap anywhere on the video while it's playing.

You can also turn sound on by pressing the volume buttons on your phone while a video is playing. Once the sound is on, you can use the buttons to adjust the volume.

On the Mac click on the screen if no sound.

Thanks, have tried those with no success. It's very odd, as sound is perfect on everything else including youtube and other video's
