I took some photos on my Sony phone and am trying to move them to Photos on my Mac.
So I emailed the photos to myself. Now I can’t move them into my Photos on my mac, they are in google photos. Son’s advice was to drag them across but it doesn’t work, they just whiz back again. Sure.y it should be easier than this? No wonder I’m a technophobe. ?

I think I would upload them to the cloud and then download them on your Mac .

When you open the email on your Mac, do you either 'right click' on it if you are using a mouse or 'two finger touch' if using a touchpad? You should get a drop down menu where you can select 'Export to Photos'.

I checked this out on my Android phone with my iMac but also shared the photo on my phone directly with the iMac using Bluetooth. There are several ways of sending photos from Android to Apple.

I should have said 'right click' on the photo in your email.

See screenshot I have taken mrsmopp

Open up your email .
Move curser up to the top
Some choices will appear - at the end you will see how many attachments (photos) you have sent.

Sorry - didn't finish my comment / help

click on ^ next to number of attachments
Save them where you want (file you have created?)
or export them to Photos. (I do the latter).

Good luck
