Why won't my Nokia 1 plus take photos?

Have you tried any of the remedies posted on YouTube?
It might be worth giving them a look.

To start off with my Nokia 1 plus phone did take photos, both the usual ones and selfies.

Now it sometimes takes a photo, but more usually doesn't.

I have followed the instruction manual, but can't solve the problem.

I suspect the trouble started following an update.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
