Apple iPad update. Security breach.

I read that there was a security problem with Apple iPads but, as my main computer is broken I was scared to do the update they recommended just in case anything went wrong as I’m so dependent on my iPad for everything. But DH was watching tv this morning and someone on BBC breakfast said whatever you do you must do this update now and he showed how to do it. It was really straightforward and only took 10 minutes.

Mine is set to update automatically overnight. I know it’s been updated when it asks me to enable Touch ID.

It’s most likely an issue with your wireless connection, mine took about 20 minutes. I’d try again.

Nannytopsy, is your iPhone 6s or newer? Anything older doesn’t need this update.

I can only suggest if your phone does require the update that you try again, there may be a temporary glitch, but my knowledge of these things is very limited.

Did updates of my iPhone and OHs iPad yesterday. Both took about 15mins and went OK.

The update isn’t there any more so I assume it has updated tonight. Yes it’s a new ish phone.

I always do the apple updates but not the microsoft ones . The latter are just annoying and make things harder or try to charge you for stuff that used to be free.

I did our I pads and my phone, couldn’t do DH’s, assumed his phone is too old.
