Google search coming up with Sponsored ads on laptop - driving me mad

This as just started happening and it's pages and pages. How do I stop this.
I just want normal statements regarding my questions.
Anyone have any ideas why it's started happening could it be something I have done?

I also use DuckDuckGo as a search engine, it works well with Chrome and Safari.

Just install Adblock Plus - it's free and prevents all those annoying pop-ups from anywhere.
