Signing up for Netflix how to do this safely

We had our dd on our account until the recent changes and now she couldnt watch - DH contacted netflix we now pay an extra £4.99 each month for her to access it again.

My smart TV comes with the Netflix app already installed. We cancelled our subscription a while ago but the Netflix app is still there if I want to sign up again. It's an easy process, you just follow the instructions on the screen.

Set up a new Netflix account on your iPad so you can watch content on that.

On your smart TV, open the Netflix app. You will be asked to enter a code into your iPad to authorise and synchronise the TV to the new account.

It's the same procedure when setting up a smart TV for the first time. Each TV app needs a corresponding account on a computer, tablet or phone, somewhere where the account details and payment methods can be recorded.

Just re read that, the code is on the TV and you put it into the website activation page, the opposite of what I previously said.

It is easy to sign up, set up an account from the Netflix website.
When you have signed up you will be given a code number which you will put in on the app on the TV.

Being a new member you will get a free trial or some other sort of offer..

Thank you Visgirl. It is my grandson and he has put several people on his account. I don’t want to bother him as we are not the only ones. Also, bless him, he wouldn’t let us pay and we are happily willing to pay for a one screen access.

I paid the max price so I could put my x2 children onto my acc in return my DD has me on her Disney channel.
This weekend her access was stopped.
You can still add another to your account.
The Name just comes off your opening screen and they just see it on their TV.
I phoned Customer services explained that I use the Netflix when I'm babysitting there (true) but they use it as well.
I paid another £4.99 a month which they said they would pay. Netflix send you a code which they added to the screen. I still have control over it so if I don't pay they loose it. Netflix lady was helpful.

Thank you. The tv is a smart tv and Freeview/freesat. So I do need to set up an account.
Interesting Silverlinings. It’s strange but other members of the family have had theirs taken off but ours remained until last night.

I get Netflix through my BT television package. Could you do something like that? It simplifies things a lot. I'd found I was paying twice: once via an account I set up myself and once via BT package. It was easy to cancel my personal account.

We piggyback on our dd Netflix account and also had messages about creating an account. We have ignored so far and when we try again it works ok.
If you have a separate account assume that means you will now be paying for it?
