Does anyone else find this incredibly annoying?!

Can anyone enlighten me about why it's used? Presumably someone thought it'd be a great marketing idea but I just want to leave the site asap

You need a better ad blocker. I never get them.

Do you mean carousels where different articles are shown? They improve the web traffic hugely, so they’re here to stay for now.
