HELP ! Facebook has gone mad.

Facebook is suddenly regarding my old much-used laptop as a new device and every time I try to go onto Facebook, I have to go through a long rigmarole of two-ID logging in, then I check the box for my laptop to be recognised in future ... but Facebook takes no notice.

Then I get a text asking if it is truly me because FB thinks I am logging in not only on a different device but also from a new location ... which I'm not.

What has happened? What can I do? Log-in is fine from my phone.

No problems on my iPad or iPhone

I don’t think so as there are no weird messages, just that I have to keep identifying myself and logging on.

It can’t be a general FB thing as my phone is fine.

Does anyone know how I can undo this?

Have you tried logging out of Facebook and then deleting it from your laptop and then reinstalling?

No because I'm not very techy and I'm worried I won't get back in as I run a support group on FB and I can't lose it.

Hey there! It sounds like Facebook is giving you a bit of trouble with your laptop login. Have you tried clearing your browser cache or cookies? Sometimes, that helps refresh your device's recognition on Facebook. Hang in there!
