Alert messages ' someone has access to your phone ' messages are coming in like an avalanche , what do I do ? I've switched it off in terror but all my contacts are within the damned thing ! I'm like Major Tom , no near phone shops any more and it's Bank Holiday Monday .

Agree just block /report as Spam and delete it.
I pay a small fee to Avast to just do my phone each year, think it's only about £4.99 for extra security.

In my case, I use Google Messages for SMS and it has a spam protection feature. The app performs real-time scans to detect patterns of spam messages. These scans take place even when offline. You may need to turn on this function in your app settings because it is not automatically enabled; however, it has discovered numerous spam messages during the course of time.
