Are you aware of the way that 3D prints are created?
If you want to produce your own 3D printed artwork, there are basically 2 ways of doing it.
1. Make a model of what you want to produce (decide whether or not you want it coloured or if you want to colour the finished article yourself - either choice will decide which material will be used for 3D printing, in any case there are multiple choices of materials that can be used).
The model will then need to be scanned using a 3D scanner or special cameras to capture shape and detail. The data from the scanner are then uploaded into the 3D printer. The data and scale can be tweaked by a good 3D technician. There could be several reiterations before you are satisfied. If you are satisfied, the data for the finished model can be used many times to reproduce your artwork.
2 You learn how to use a CAD (Computer Aided Design) program. You can build your model on a computer. Once you are satisfied with your CAD package, you can upload the CAD data to a 3D printer. Do you have access to a small printer and CAD package? This could still be very expensive.
I know that you can print almost anything with a 3D printer but the skill set behind using it is in design, computing skills and engineering.
I hope I'm not offending you by assuming you don't have such skills. I have seen wonderful, artistic models 3D printed by graduates in the technology and have attended design fairs. But I'm not sure the technology is easily accessible unless you have lots of money and good computing skills.
