scammers and private numbers

The only person who might use a private number is a friend who is ex gp, hence the privacy but she will also e mail me

My dell was hacked a couple of weeks ago and suddenly for a couple of days, I have had a lot of private unknown number calls. I never answer them

There is a setting whereby these unknown calls can be blocked, I have just turned my blocker on.

Just had another very persistent caller. Looked the number on the net. Fedex scammer. I never answer unknown contacts. Another one I have blocked

Definitely doing the right thing. I have to answer private numbers in case it's social work etc regarding mum. However if someone starts asking questions and doesn't acknowledge who they are first, I hang up without speaking
