How do you get rid of an icon at the bottom of a computer?
I have tried the right click method but no delete comes up

Turn the computer off and on again?!grin

Seriously, that is one of the first things I try.

Do you mean the task bar that shows open programs and icons for quick access to frequently used programs? What sort of icon do you mean?

The task bar sits along the bottom of your computer screen. Is the icon on the task bar or above it (on the screen)?

If it's on the taskbar and you want to remove it then:
Right click an empty space on the task bar
On the menu go to taskbar settings
Notification area
Select which icons appear on the taskbar
(you can then choose the one you want to remove).

If the icon is on the screen (desktop) then just drag it to the Recycle Bin.

That's how it works on my computer, hope it helps.

If it's on the taskbar at the bottom and you right click, you should get the option to select "unpin from taskbar". Unless it's that new autopilot AI app and you can't delete that! But you can turn it off in settings.

Mine is the same as gentleshores, right click on the icon you want to remove and choose the unpin option.
