Whatever next?

I’m just looking at an advert for translating earbuds. It seems that no matter what language is spoken to you, these wee earbuds will instantly translate from 40 different languages.
Am I the only one who thinks things are going way too fast?

I think that would be amazing! I love learning new languages, and I always make an effort to learn at least a few words, wherever we are going, but just imagine being able to travel anywhere and immediately understand what's being said.

One thing that is going too fast is the huge increase in theft of mobile phones, not for the phone but for access to banking apps. Doing everything on your phone with new technology is not a great idea,
