A quick one here. Screen protector or not?

My dh studied the instructions and looked at a utube video. I had bought a J Tech screen protector. I went for the one which included a frame which fitted around my iPad. The screen protector was laid into the frame. Dh followed instructions to the letter and the only small bubbles were smoothed out with a card which came with kit. All smooth now and hopefully as safe as possible.

On my phone yes but not necessary on my ipad as it rarely leaves the house.

It’s never occurred to me that I need a screen protector and I have never scratched an iPad screen after many years. If you google this question, it is doubtful you need one! I do have a rubbery backing case that makes it easier to hold. My iPad lives on the coffee table where I sit and is used for many hours a day..

I don't use them and have never had any problems with my screen. I do have a case.

I use screen protectors . I get the person at the shop to put it on because I wouldn’t be able to get all the bubbles out and they are experts with special tools. I have dropped my phone and iPad several times and the screens have protected them. Worth every penny. I don’t know what the above post byResourceaugment is talking about,a load of gobbledygook. I think they got the wrong social media site somehow !

I would like one as forever cleaning my screen, but I know I'd mess it up so well done. I've got 4 I pad covers as always looking for the perfect one, the one I'm using now, leather with a stand and a discreet pocket and stylus holder is the best.

Thank you BlueBelle. I will attempt to put it on tomorrow andI know you are right.

I always use a screen protector. I would never go without one they have saved my screen many a time, even my teenage grandkids use screen protectors
I think your friend is daft
They are a pain to put on and I usually get my grand daughter to do it for me but my local shop will do it as a favour too
I certainly wouldnt miss this important step out on a new expensive item

Just replaced my 8 year old iPad Pro with the new iPad Air. It now has its cover on it and a J Tech screen protector is sitting on the dining room table. Have always used covers and screen protectors. A friend laughs at me and says I am a belt and braces person. Putting screen savers on has been a nerve wracking experience as I dread bubbles. Interested in a few opinions if anyone has time.
