And reading this on Samsung galaxy phone as hinge has broken on laptop. For some reason the print on here and MN has become small and I struggle to read it. Have tried settings but is on max font size.
Am from the age of the quill pen.

Might you be on the desktop site on your phone?

Scroll right to the bottom of the screen, and in the middle there should be the words 'mobile site'. If you click that, it will reset for you. If the words say 'desktop site' you are probably on the mobile one, but it's worth trying clicking that, and then going back to mobile, if that makes sense?

I'm on my mobile, have clicked desktop and it's all different, how do I get back to where I was? Help!

Doodledog Sat 14-Dec-24 22:35:02

Do the same again, but it should say 'mobile site' now grin

Thanks, I searched for a while and eventually found the mobile site in very very very small print! Panic over, I don't know why I touched it in the first place, think I need some sleep!!

I'm on my tablet. Is it my imagination, or has Gransnet changed the font size?
It seems smaller on all the threads.
I've looked at the site on my phone and the text appears larger on there.

I had the same exp Marg75.
Got back now.
But no Doodledog. Seems I was already on mobile site.
It's strange because this has only happened in the last few days.
Am not aware of having changed anything.
It's really quite small now.

Various forums where other Samsung phone users have had the same problem - often after a software update - so if you have your phone set to auto update that may be what has happened.

Try this:

Go to Settings -> Display -> Screen Zoom -> scroll the bar to the right and back to the left. It should reset the font size to normal.

Thanks Flitter.
Backwards and forwards to max.
It's got slightly bigger.
Still smaller than previously though.

I don't have a Samsung but logic tells me that after resetting the Screen Zoom you need to go into the Font settings and reset that to where you want it. Or have you already done that?

Yes typscript has gone tiny on gransnet. I am also using a Samsung smart phone.

I have a Samsung smart phone and the print hasn't changed at all..

I prefer the desktop site, but often find that after an update, the settings revert back to mobile version.

I have a Samsung phone and you can just use your fingers to increase the size. Use one finger and a thumb together then push outwards , sort of stretching.

I'm on my Samsung and I was just thinking that I can't be the only person who does that to make the text display larger. 🤔

I use iPhone and increase/decrease display size using fingers to 'pinch' or zoom. I believe it's the same on Android phones as long as you have a touch screen.

Oh! I thought I had pressed a wrong button a few days ago!

Tried switching the computer on and off. Nothing changed.
