Advice Thunderbolt to USB storage

My son bought me a Del laptop last year for Christmas.
My problem is I have collected many USB memory sticks over the years. and
Although they are mostly copied onto an external hard drive I hate deleting the information and photos just in case.
The new laptop has 2 (I think they are called thunderbolt connections) 1 - I use for the mouse (hate using the touch pad).
So here I am with just one TB.
What is the best way to deal with this.

Most new and newish laptops would have more than two ports so I am wondering if what you have is something from the Dell XPS 13 series which have only two Thunderbolt 4 ports.

To get around this you can buy a Thunderbolt Docking Station for between £20 and £40 depending on the number of additional ports you want and what data transfer speeds you are happy to accept.
