Hello, and Happy New Year to you all.
I am unable to leave the house for a couple of months and have decided to try to learn more about making better use of my laptop; things such as backing up to a hard drive etc.
My husband bought me a Seagate one last year but all I did was plug it in! I will take a closer look this afternoon but would someone advise as to whether I need to delete back ups as new ones are made please.
Many thanks.

Sorrystarof72, I can't help but I noticed your post in the Unanswered forum and thought I would bump it to get you some response.

I am sure there are some tech savvy GNetters out there.

You do not have to, but it helps. I back up my documents on to a hard drive, roughly every month and I usually delete the previous back up after I have saved the new one.

Thank you both for the bump and the advice. I'm going to spend this evening checking out what there is on the hard drive and learn how to move items on to it.
