Has anyone used Google Earth lately?

I have not for a while, but find it has changed and not for the better. I am wondering if there is another alternative.

I cannot get the cursor/arrows to move in any direction. Typing in an address in the search is difficult.

Any ideas or am I doing something wrong?

I have just tried it and it's working fine. Typing an address in the search box goes straight to the location. Both keyboard and on-map street view arrows are working fine too.

Hard to know why you are having problems but it sounds like the app is freezing up. It could be an issue with both storage and processing capability if you have other several other apps running in the background

Google Earth stores images and information from previous searches so you can go to those places faster. As you have used it before, you may need to clear this from your cache to save memory space. Close other apps to make the Google Earth app respond faster (or at all in your case).

I haven't used Google Earth for ages. I usually use Google Maps, switching to Satellite and Streetview and find that I can do everything I want to that way.

I expect Google Earth has more functions but I've not needed them recently. I shall go and experiment with it...

I use it a lot and haven't noticed any difference

Thanks for your suggestions. I will give them a go.
