What is Mozilla Monitor?

I have received an email from 'Mozilla Monitor' telling me I have been the subject of a data breach. It seems to be a site that scans your Internet browsing and warns you of suspicious activity.
I haven't signed up for any monitoring cover and am wondering if I should open it and act on its advice - or ignore it?
Should I just delete it?

Mozilla Monitor (formerly Firefox Monitor) is a genuine free tool used to detect data breaches. It was launched in 2018. I use it.

Whether the email you have received is genuine is another matter. Possibly not. What address has it come from?
