FREELY - does anyone have this sort of tV please?

I'm happy to look at other options that doesn't involve an afield....

I was about to ask the same question. I wonder if a post in the Cafe or chat room might elicit some responses?

I phoned the Toshiba technical helpline an hour or so ago as they obviously do lots of Freely ones.

The person I spoke to was really great.
He said it's like have a firestick or roku without a separate handset and that it is going to replace Freeview.

He had bought a freely TV for his dad and said his dad loved it. I didn't ask if it was a Toshiba.

He said "keep the number and we will help you if you have any problems"

He said there had been z lot of questions about this because of problems with terrestrial TV in the heat/changing pressure (?) Can't exactly remember which one - anyway I have now ordered a cheap Yoshiba as he was just so helpful.

Most ordinary apps are on it - but not Now TV or Discovery Plus.

He said more are being added all the time.

There are of course other brands available!

I've got a Hisense one. Not realised it does this 🙄!

I have a post up in the chat room about needing a small TV for my small living-room. Maybe a Freely? I see there is a 24" available from Toshiba. I am surprised TV's are so cheap now! It must be over 15 years since I last bought one.

I have no idea what a freely tv is but I have no problem moving our second smallish tv to different rooms.

I have to use a Humax box to watch catchup tv and I really want to watch it in other rooms. Unfortunately the guy that used to help me with tv and aerial stuff seems to have retired.

I like the idea of not having to bother with an ariel! (NOT an "afield") as autocorrect thought (upthread)!

Well TV has come. Set up was easy.
Just needed a plug.
