Personal alarms for emergency use

My Mum’s was through the local council. A few years ago now but it was about £25pm for 24/7 security. Well worth it. I checked it regularly by pressing the button (which they advise you to do) and the response was instant and the call handlers extremely kind.

We re all different aren’t we I m over 80 live alone and don’t feel I m anywhere near a personal alarm yet I do keep my mobile phone with me most of the time like most people
They are a good idea if you feel infirm I think you would need a key box fitted or else no one would be able to get to you or maybe a nominated key holder fairly nearby
Yes there is a charge My dad had his through the local council and it was quite cheap but I m not sure of the price now as that was a decade ago
His would only work in the house or first few feet of the garden but they are much better now and my older friend wears hers when she’s out and about shopping etc
I m sure others will have better advice and more knowledge but I saw you hadn’t had any immediate reply’s so thought I d pop in
