Strange app appeared on my phone

I was glancing at my phone earlier today when I spotted an app with a purple logo which I did not recognise. It was called Chamet, and is apparently some sort of chat app seemingly aimed at young people, and of zero interest to me. I certainly did not install the app myself. So I uninstalled it in case there was something nefarious behind it.

Has anyone else had this, or any other app appear mysteriously on their phone?

I sometimes get apps on my phone that I haven't installed. I just uninstall them. I'm not sure if they're at all nefarious. I take the attitude that apps can gather all the data they want about me. I'm so boring that I'm sure no one would be in the least interested in me

Just looked into it some more on google, and it appears to be more than an innocent chat app. There is a lot of stuff about girls and their body parts. Glad I got rid of it!

I have found that when you type in the name of an app in the App store it is never the first one to come up and you have to look carefully for the one you want. Have been caught out a few times.
