Since the last big storm,we’ve had no internet meaning also no phone other than mobile or TV. I really did realise how important the internet was to me. Three days have seemed like forever. Half the people in the village are tearing their hair out as they cannot work. It is all everyone speaks about. Still I have managed to finish a whole book but am getting withdrawal symptoms! My usually little used mobile phone is constantly running out of power as I try to keep up with news and play Wordle on it. I burnt the dinner last night as Alexa was not available to time my cooking!

Seriously though, if it caused me and a small village such consternation and upset what would a major cyber attack do? It doesn’t bare thinking about.

Your mobile should connect to the internet via 4G.

When our internet goes down, we simply switch it off and switch it on again. usually works.

I had a text from my Tesco mobile, think it was sunday to say that the 3G network across the uk was shutting down ,I had already bought a 4G mobile when I knew this was happening, even so I was not prepared for what happened next. right away, although I still had internet, I was locked out of everything, I 've lost all my email accounts even Gransnet, I'm just getting back to this site tonight.had to change all my sign ins and passwords. The layout of this site has changed too, even my screensaver has changed, I really thought some scammers had taken over my computer. All photos ,downloads and videos have gone, I'm hoping I might get them back. My s.i l. will have a look at it tomorrow to see what he can do fo fix it, If it has been this changeover that caused it , then I'm absolutely fuming ( I'm being polite )...has anyone else been affected by this changeover?
