I am getting so fed up of quality customer service with a real person being replaced by automated AI responses. It is like an epidemic, bring back personal service and quality customer care.
Debenhams had an offer £10 off and free next day delivery when you spend over £70 ,so I applied the code but ended up paying full price, contacted Customer Care and basically just an automated message saying we will reply within 4 days, well 8 days later, got a message which was basically repeating my message to them, no solution, and ended with we are sorry it is not the outcome you expect! where is my answer? sort it out! I neither got the £10 off NOR the free next day delivery (arrived 4 days later!)
Christmas took elderly mum in law to Beefeater in Guildford on Xmas Eve, place was freezing cold, no heating on, even staff were moaning they were cold, one Xmas tree by door and that was all the festive spirit in there, no music, no decs, nothing! and to top it all, there were sharp nails sticking out on my chair which pierced my hand, we ate as fast as we could before Mum in Law froze to death, and got out of there in 40 mins. Wrote to their feedback page and same Chat GPT reply basically repeating my message and ended by saying we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. No human even read my message! Same when I was ringing around trying to find a restaurant booking for Xmas eve, all phones answered now by Chat GPT, when I asked 'are you open Xmas eve?' robots replied "our opening hours are...." am getting so fed up with being palmed off by these big companies who want our hard earned cash but are not bothered with looking after the customer anymore! GRrrrr! rant over! NO Chat GPT replies please!
