Apparently, there are pilot trials of having the online weekly shop dropped off via drones.

Hmmm, might not work well if there are eggs in the order.

Or the local Porch Pirate is on the lookout and sees your delivery whizzing past their kitchen window, notes which address it lands at and sprints to your front door quicker than you.

I'm on the fence about this. I like the idea of getting even quicker deliveries, but if it tastes off ( no pun intended) then it would mean a lot of delivery drivers out of work.

I saw Amazon was trialling delivery of items under 2.2kg in weight, but nothing on weekly shops mae13.
Was this in the UK?

Is it though - someone has to fly the drones

I think one person can fly several drones.

I really terrified of drones. Thise that fire missiles - it was recognised as a new step in the barbarity of warfare when aerial bombardment became a thing around WW2. I was scared to go outdoors as a young girl, because I'd seen aeroplanes dropping bombs on TV. We had q a lot of fighter jets nearby.

I can't imagine how the children of Gaza, Ukraine have been scarred by a manmade, mechanized bird that can home in on them, chase them & kill them, just appearing at random from the skies. I really hope for some new legislation on them, they give me the creeps.

Numerous drones need just one operator.
