You can also temporarily close your account for a period - you need to google how and maybe get help, to do that

Did you accept a friend request from her? I’d have just ignored it and erred on the side of caution.

Cancel her as described above and don’t do FB for a while.

Under the circumstances, FB might not be the best place for you.

She didn’t really have to hunt you down if you liked her post not did you have to accept her friendship request. How is it that you know so much about her?

If you want to stay on FB you can change your name. Once you have done that, make sure your privacy settings are what you want them to be so that only people you trust can see you.

I assume she doesn’t know where you live and could compromise your physical security.

I ditched being in Facebook a long time ago.
I found that people collect you as a Facebook friend often to have as many friends as possible.
But in your case I'd be concerned as this new contact may not be who she says she is.

You don’t have to accept their request, just like in real life, if someone wants to be your friend and you don’t like them, you stay away

She may or may not notice that you have unfriended her but do not feel you have to make excuses. It is nobody else’s business how you manage your social media.

If you feel you want to tell her something just say you want to keep your account private. Change the name on your account, change the picture and for now on don’t tell her anything that she can repeat to others to invade your privacy.

The most important thing is that you protect your own security and keep your whereabouts secret from anyone who could harm you.

She sounds awful! If she does ever ask you about Facebook, just say something like “I don’t really use it other than for groups” and in your situation I really don’t think you should ever post anything personal.
