Fibre broadband and house phones

I had full fibre fitted two years ago.

I did away with my landline, but fretted about doing so.

Now, I wonder why I worried! Haven’t missed it at all.

(Sorry, no help with your query, but just saying, landline soon forgotten).

Finally, I have now got fibre broadband in my flat. Engineer asked if I wished to keep my landline, and I said I did.
However, I cannot get any sort of line tone on these now. They all work, I tried ringing my landline number from my mobile and it rang, also rang my mobile from landline and that rang.

But no dialling tone. Is this normal?
