It is worth shopping around on the Internet.

I think I read somewhere that Macmillan will advise on policies which cover people who have had cancer.

We have cover with our bank account which does not have an upper age limit any more but we had to pay an additional £180 for our annual policy this year because I am hypothyroid and DH takes various medications. I think they are only interested in what meds you take and if you have been an in-patient in the last year.

I use a company called Getmy.com Both me and my husband have existing conditions and I think their pricing is very fair. the policy comes with a medical warranty in which all known conditions and treatments/medication etc. is listed. We buy a yearly policy which covers us for both the UK and the rest of Europe. It is a little more expensive however if you want to travel outside Europe (chance would be a fine thing).

I have just had to fork out a whole lot of money for extra health conditions things on a travel policy for a week in the Canaries. I now have a diagnosis of borderline osteoporosis and I have now owned up to an arthritic back joint which has been treated with injections several times and has been known to lock up.
I am also waiting for a consultation for an enlarged parathyroid which is likely to need treatment!
All this has cost me a lot more money on my holiday but what else can I do? I cannot say "I didnt know" about any of this. I think these "extras" will come to over £100 for the week.

My existing policy clear excludes "known conditions" Anyone any experience of this stuff?
Its a B****R getting decrepit!

I bank with Barclays and my current account has travel insurance included. However, I think this stops when account holder is 70 and that will be me in few weeks so I will have to look around. I also will have to declare breast cancer last year although I am cancer free now. Do you know of any companies that provide reasonably priced cover for these circumstances?

We bank with Coop at moment and they offer a yearly travel insurance, not badly priced.
