lightweight suitcases

Matalan sell great lightweight cases T a reasonable price. We have used ours on many trips and several of our friends have bought them too. No complaints from anyone.
For me it's toiletries that add weight to the luggage. I used to take a large vanity case on as hand luggage. Those were the days!

I bought a Samsonite lightweight suitcase that opens like a book - about £150 but well worth it. Has seen me through numerous trips and still going strong.

Sub Zero cases from Argos and Factory Shop. very light not expensive ours have done at least half a dozen flights and are still going strong

Thanks all. I was in Debenhams looking for something else when I came to their very small luggage dept - well area. They had a large Tripp lightweight [4.5kg] suitcase reduced from £150 to £45. Went back today and bought it. Slight drawbacks - it's black with a fairly muted teal blue flower design [DH thinks I should have it] and it's quite deep [couldn't fit it in the boot of car without taking everything else out] Decided to keep one of our old cases and get rid of the enormous one.
Don't worry Stansgran, I won't be filling it. Hopefully all the things we're taking will be lightweight anyway. Well mine will be. Has anyone noticed that men's clothes weigh so much more than ours anyway? I'll only need something warm to actually travel to the airport and poss use on board if the air con is a bit fierce. I never know what to wear when travelling long haul, in order to arrive without looking totally wrecked. Not a good look if you're hoping for a possible upgrade for your hotel room. Maybe the new suitcase might swing it???

Don't even think about filling your suitcase to the maximum weight. Unless you are traveling on every day hotel laundries are usually cheap and excellent. I try to put everything on the bed and then halve it. The heaviest thing for me is changes of shoes-trainers and walking shoes are irreplaceable for me as I have long feet double AA so I can't replace them in the Far East . But you will probably want to buy some of the lovely things in the markets so keep space in yor case. I always make sure I can lift my case. Probably have to stick to a lightweight boiler suit soon

I have just bought a lightweight cabin sized trolley case in a Freeport Outlet Mall near me. They had a BOGOFF day.

Try Argos, they have a range called worlds lightest suitcases very reasonable prices and various sizes , i can vouch for them as i have two.

Rohan do some very good lightweight back-packs, although expensive. My son used one when in Africa, and he still uses it to this day.

Yes, T K Maxx, or if you are near Boundary Mill, they have great suitcases at ridiculous prices. I have had them from both.

Try TK Max x they have some surprisingly good prices on suitcases.
