honeymoon hotels on amalfi coast

I used to stay at the imperial Tramontano in Sorrento. Cliff top position with spectacular vows. Close to town a d very friendly. It has lovely gardens and a pool. If you get a room on the back with a balcony you look a cross to Capri and Vesuvius.

I know. I am just a newcomer to forums. Cant believe how friendly people are and what wonderful advice. It is 43 years since I got married the first time! Feel like a newbie! Next post will be about perennial plants for garden pots.....bit different, eh?

We stayed in hotel belvedere just outside amalfi.i wouldn't recommend driving around the coast tho unless you have nerves of steel. We visited Ravello which still has lovely sea views but has a typical Italian square and concerts in the church.someone rented a car and left it in the hotel garage !,

What a spectacular place to choose for your Honeymoon the area is beautiful and full of romance,it is going to be an interesting journey until you get married we will all be engrossed with you wedding plan's,I am also making arrangements for my georgious son's wedding in September and it is so exciting,we could all be your virtual maids of honour

I agree about not driving along the Amalfi coast. A couple of people we traveled with from the airport to a hotel in Scala just outside Ravello hired a car and took it back after two days. Very very scary.
We were ok driving in Tuscany though.

DD and SIL have just spent a blissful week on the Amalfi Coast, ( just three years married!)
They drove from Naples which was ok but you need to be careful. If budget is good then Hotel Caruso in Ravello is amazing but also, which they almost preferred was Monastero Monte Rosa above Amalfi, jutting out over the cliff, its all been renovated over a few years. Both have stunning infinity pools, great for a Honeymoon!

there's a lovely Best Western just south of Amalfi, right on the sea - no beaches but lovely pool and access to the sea. Need a car though - we stayed there a few years ago after daughter's wedding in Capri, which is also beautiful and lovely for a honeymoon!!
