Air New Zealand safety videos

ANZ make a creative effort with their safety videos. Aided and abetted by the Wellington film industry I guess. The rugby world cup one was v good, as was the one in which the flight attendants had their uniforms painted on their naked bodies (got everyone's attention didn't it)
I wonder what other members think of their latest one, set in a US retirement community. I prefer the hobbit one.

Thanks, Jess. I like ANZ.

I used to love Betty White in The Golden Girls. Good to see her still going strong. I think the others are all dead. sad

Funny you should post this JessM (you must receive emails from ANZ same as me wink) - I watched it this morning and thought about posting it on GNet.

ANZ always make good safety videos, this one is tongue in cheek but I guess some "oldies" may be offended at the portrayal of "senior citizens"!!

I can't see that oldies would really take offence moomin. I still don't fly Air New Zealand if I can help it, however funny their safety videos.

Really absent - I'm a fan myself. Probably the only logo in the world that gives me a bit of an affectionate feeling. Tried Virgin cattle class have you?

I don't fly cattle class (except for short internal flights) or Virgin JessM. But even business class service and food on Air New Zealand sucks.

No I thought you didn't absent. I am only comparing economy. ANZ have better selection of films etc too I find. But you can stay put now? Or are you planning a tour of the Uk at some stage?

JessM Not a chance. J'y suis et j'y reste (I'm Swiss and I'm staying the night). grin

I don't blame you.

So far I have used Cathay Pacific with their terrible 'pod' seats, and Singapore Airlines, which was fine. This year I am using Malaysian Airlines, which I got to know when my daughter lived in Malaysia for three years. I wanted a stop-over, and I know Kuala Lumpur is interesting. I have never been able to afford anything but 'cattle class' but I might treat myself to an upgrade when I make my trip as an immigrant, rather than a visitor.
I use ANZ for the internal flight from Auckland (or Wellington this year) to Nelson.

Greatnan I don't think there is any choice for internal NZ flights these days. We flew Emirates from the UK this year but my favourite is Singapore Airlines.
